How to Check Your Leave Balance

Your leave balances show at the top of the Leave requests page. Balance is the total days you have, Pending is days in requests waiting for approval, and Available is what you can still request.

See how much leave you have from the Leave requests page. Each leave type with a balance has its own card at the top of the page, for example Paid time off balance.

What each number means

  • Balance: the total days you have for that leave type.

  • Pending: days in requests you've submitted that haven't been approved yet.

  • Available: your balance minus pending days. This is how much you can still request.

How your balance grows

Leave is added in line with the statutory leave rules of the country you work in. In some countries you get the whole year's leave at the start of the year. In others, such as Australia, leave is added a little at a time each pay period.

How requests change your balance

  • Submitting a request moves those days into Pending, so Available goes down straight away.

  • When the request is approved, the days come off your Balance.

  • When a request is rejected or cancelled, the days go back to Available.

Good to know

  • Only leave types that use a balance have a card. Leave without a balance, such as unpaid leave, doesn't show one.

  • If your balance looks wrong, submit a support request to HR from the platform.
