Review your employees' leave requests, then approve them or send them back with a note. Account Owner and Hiring Manager users can approve and reject leave.
Open Leave requests. In the menu, select Leave management > Requests. The Ready for approval tab lists every request waiting for approval, with the employee, country, dates, days, leave type and submitted date.
Check the request. Click a row to open it. You see the leave type, the employee's current balance, the dates and duration, how many days are paid and unpaid, any public holidays in the dates, and the employee's comments and attachments.
Approve. Click Approve, either on the row or inside the open request.
Or reject with a note. Open the request, type the reason in Notes from manager, then click Reject.
You can also approve or reject from the employee's profile: go to People > Staff, open the employee and select the Leave tab.
What happens next
The employee gets a notification. Approved days come off the employee's leave balance. Rejected days go back to their available balance, and they see your note on the request.
Good to know
Any Account Owner or Hiring Manager user at your company can approve any employee's leave. When an employee submits a request, their manager gets a notification.
You can't cancel leave after approving it. Contact Outstaffer support and the Outstaffer team will cancel it and return the days to the employee's balance.
The All tab shows every request and its status, including who approved or rejected it in the Approver column.
Use the search box and Country filter to narrow the list, and Export leave requests to download them for a date range.
If nothing is waiting for you, you'll see You're up to date.
To see your team's leave on a calendar, see How to Use the Leave Overview Calendar.
