How do I request a replacement device?

Restart the device, check its cables and Wi-Fi/Ethernet connection, and install any pending updates. If the problem persists, submit a Device Support request describing the fault and what you've already tried.

If a company-issued device stops working properly, a few basic checks usually clear it up before you need to contact support.

1. Restart the Device

  • Turn the device off, then back on.

2. Check the Connections

  • Make sure all cables are firmly plugged in.

  • Confirm the device is connected to Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

3. Install Pending Updates

  • Check for and install any pending software or operating system updates.

4. Submit a Device Support Request

  • If the problem isn't fixed, submit a Device Support request in the platform.

  • Describe the fault and what you've already tried (restarts, cable checks, different network).

What Happens Next

  • The IT Support team troubleshoots with you first.

  • If the device can't be fixed, they arrange a replacement.

Good to know

  • Don't switch to a personal device without telling anyone.

  • If you need an interim workaround, agree on it with Outstaffer support and your client first, so there's no disruption or security issue.
