This guide walks you through starting an offboarding request for an employee in the Outstaffer platform. Submitting the request begins the process only. It does not end employment immediately, and no message is sent to the employee at this stage.

1. Open the employee's profile

  • Go to People > Staff.

  • Find and open the employee you want to offboard.

  • On their profile, scroll down to the Profile tab area where the offboarding action is available.

2. Click "Enter End Employment"

  • Select Enter End Employment on the employee's profile.

  • This opens the offboarding modal to begin the process.

3. Choose the reason for ending employment

  • In the modal, select the appropriate reason, such as:

    • Resignation

    • Role no longer required

    • Performance or conduct

    • Transfer to another employer

    • Other

  • If needed, enter a custom reason (for example: role no longer required, internal direction).

4. Submit the offboarding request

  • Confirm and submit the request.

  • This starts the offboarding process, but does not end employment immediately.

  • No message is sent to the employee at this stage.

5. Wait for the offboarding plan to be created

  • After submission, the Outstaffer team begins the offboarding workflow.

  • Depending on the employee's country, they will contact you and create an offboarding plan for review.

  • The goal is to ensure the exit process is legal and compliant.

6. Track the request in My Report Requests

  • You can check the request status anytime in My Report Requests.

  • The request will appear as End of Employment Requested.

  • The employee's status will remain unchanged until the offboarding process is completed.
