Overview
The platform allows employees to be assigned a Secondary (Approving) Manager, providing a clear point of contact for employment-related concerns. This feature ensures that Leave Requests and Timesheets are routed to both the primary and secondary manager for approval, enhancing efficiency and oversight.
Steps to Set a Secondary Manager
1. Navigate to Employee Management - Go to People > Onboarding or People > Staff.
2. Select an Employee - Choose the employee you want to assign a secondary manager to.
3. Access the Employee Profile - You will be taken to the Employee Profile page and the details will be displayed in the upper-right section of the Profile tab.
4. Edit Manager Assignment - Click on the pencil icon in this section and apop-up modal will appear, allowing you to update the manager assignment.
5. Select the Secondary Manager - Choose the secondary manager from the dropdown list.
Important Notes:
🔹 The groups available in the dropdown are based on the group membership of the manager.
🔹 If your desired group is not listed, you may need to either reassign the employee to a different manager or add the current manager to the target group.
🔹 If the nominated secondary manager is not appearing, ensure they are in the same group as the primary manager.
6. Save Changes - After making the necessary changes, click Save to apply them.
By correctly setting a Secondary Manager, you ensure that approvals and communications are efficiently managed across the team.
