🔐 How to Secure Your Outstaffer Account with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

At Outstaffer, your account security is our top priority. Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is one of the most effective ways to protect your account from unauthorized access. With 2FA, even if someone gets hold of your password, they won’t be able to access your account without a second layer of verification.

This guide will walk you through the steps to enable 2FA on your Outstaffer account and offer additional tips to keep your information safe.

How to Set Up 2FA on Your Outstaffer Account

Follow these simple steps to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and keep your account safe:

Step 1: Access Your Outstaffer Dashboard

  1. After verifying your email, click “Go to Your Dashboard”.

  2. This will take you to your Outstaffer Dashboard.

Step 2: Start the 2FA Setup Process

  1. Once in your dashboard, find the Step 2 section.

  2. Click “Setup” to begin the process.

  3. A pop-up window will appear explaining the 2FA setup.

Step 3: Log Back In to Continue Setup

  1. Click “Continue” in the pop-up window.

  2. You will be automatically logged out for security reasons.

  3. Log back in using your email and password.

Step 4: Choose an Authenticator App

To complete the 2FA setup, you will need to download an authenticator app on your smartphone or use an existing one if you already have an app installed. Authenticator apps generate secure, time-sensitive codes that you’ll use each time you log into your Outstaffer account.

Outstaffer supports several authenticator apps that are free and easy to use. Choose one of the following apps and download it from your device's app store—or open your existing app to add Outstaffer:

🟢 Google Authenticator (Android | iOS)
🟣 Authy (Android | iOS)
🔵 Microsoft Authenticator (Android | iOS)
🟡 1Password Authenticator (Android | iOS)
🟠 Auth0 Guardian (Android | iOS)
🟤 LastPass Authenticator (Android | iOS)

Choose the app that best suits your needs, or open your existing authenticator app to add Outstaffer!

Step 5: Scan the QR Code

  1. Open your chosen authenticator app on your mobile device.

  2. Select “Add Account” or “Scan QR Code” within the app.

  3. Use your phone to scan the QR code displayed on your Outstaffer dashboard.

📌 Your app will generate a 6-digit verification code that refreshes every 30 seconds.

Step 6: Enter the Verification Code

  1. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app into the Outstaffer setup window.

  2. Click “Verify” to complete the setup process.

Step 7: Save Your Recovery Code

  1. After verification, Outstaffer will provide a recovery code.

  2. Store this code in a secure location (e.g., password manager or secure offline storage).

  3. Confirm that you’ve saved the code by clicking “Continue”.

📌 Important: This recovery code is crucial if you lose access to your authenticator app or device.

Step 8: Final Verification & Dashboard Access

  1. Outstaffer will verify your setup one final time.

  2. Once confirmed, you will see a confirmation message indicating that 2FA is now active.

  3. Click “Continue” to return to your dashboard and proceed with your account setup.

🎉 Congratulations! Your Outstaffer account is now protected with 2FA!

 

🛠️ Troubleshooting Common 2FA Issues

If you run into any issues while setting up or using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in Outstaffer, try the following solutions.

❌ QR Code Won’t Scan?

✅ Try these solutions:

  • Increase your screen brightness or ensure the QR code is fully visible.
  • Clean your camera lens to improve scanning accuracy.
  • Use manual setup – If scanning doesn’t work, your authenticator app will allow you to enter a manual setup key provided by Outstaffer.

❌ Verification Code Not Working?

✅ Try these fixes:

  • Check your device’s time settings – Ensure your phone’s clock is set to automatic time or synced with the internet. Authenticator apps rely on accurate time settings.
  • Wait for the next code – Codes refresh every 30 seconds. Wait for the next one and try again.
  • Ensure you’re using the correct account – If you have multiple accounts in your authenticator app, make sure you’re using the right code for Outstaffer.

❌ Lost Access to Your Authenticator App?

✅ Regain access using these steps:

  • Use your recovery code – When you set up 2FA, you received a recovery code. Use it to regain access.
  • Restore from backup – If you use an app like Authy or 1Password, check if you have a cloud backup to restore your authenticator settings.
  • Contact Outstaffer Support – If you’ve lost both your authenticator app and recovery codes, contact Outstaffer Support for help resetting your 2FA.
